NJob Responsibilities:

- Build and maintain a positive culture of engagement in EH&S.;
N
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental legislation. Monitor legislation changes and ensure any new requirements are implemented.
N
- Participate in reviews of third-party compliance audits in collaboration with site and business unit EH&S; leaders.
N
- Maintain an effective EH&S; management system for the site/facility.
N
- Develop EH&S; strategy and recommend EH&S; goals and objectives to improve performance for the site.
N
- Ensure that EH&S; risks are assessed, quantified, and prioritized. Ensure they are controlled and managed.
N
- Communicate with all levels in the organization on EH&S; to engage with, influence and partner with the site location leader and the leadership team.
N
- Participate in EH&S; inspections and audits as required.

Direct responsibility for audits and inspections at the site.

- Deliver EH&S; training to site leaders, business leaders and employees in consultation with business unit EH&S; leaders. Direct responsibility for EH&S; training at the site.

- Participate and supportfunctional leaders in incident investigations and advise management on corrective actions.

- Trend analysis of EH&S; incidents for the India site and advise business unit EH&S; leaders and India leadership team on follow up.

- Encourage management recognition of behaviors and results which drive EH&S; improvements.

nJob Requirements &Qualifications;:

N

n
- Degree in environmental health and safety, health and safety, or a related field.
N
- Prior work experience (at least 8-10 years) leading a team in a senior H&S; position preferably from Industrial Construction background.
N
- Managing and putting into practice Health and Safety management system
N
- Should have good written & oral communication skills in English, hands-on familiarity with MS Office software packages.
N
- Should have good knowledge of safety systems to be followed on construction sites as well as knowledge of safety standards being used on construction sites internationally.
N
- Should have good knowledge of safety control systems like work method statements, job safety analysis, permit-to-work systems, gate-control systems, etc.
N
- Should have good knowledge of the rules and regulations / statutory authorities' requirements on the subject of safety.
N
- Should have good man-management skills and apply them strongly at site to get safety systems implemented at site consistently.
N
- Preferably should have worked on time bound industrial projects.
N
- Should have solid Result Orientation and capability to operate in multi-functional teams.
N
- Past work experience with PMC/Manufacturing Industries would be an added advantage.
N
- Safety qualification from NICMAR, Minimum 1 year duration diploma conducted by state factories rules/ BOCW Central Rules or equivalent would be a definitive preference.
