Title: Hindi Audio Description (AD) & Closed Captioning (CC) Writer

Pepper Media is looking for a Hindi Audio Description (AD) & Closed Captioning (CC) Writer to work on films, series and other video content.
The role requires excellent Hindi language and writing skills, along with a good understanding of Audio Description and Closed Captioning processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Write Audio Description scripts in Hindi for films, series and other video content.
- Identify appropriate gaps in dialogue and describe important visual information clearly and concisely.
- Ensure AD narration complements the original content without interfering with dialogue or significant audio.
- Create and review Hindi Closed Captions, including dialogue, speaker identification and relevant sound/music cues.
- Work with video, scripts, subtitle files and timecoded material.
- Review and QC content for language accuracy, timing and consistency.
- Coordinate with editors, voice artists and the localization/production team.
Requirements
- Excellent command of written and spoken Hindi, with good working knowledge of English.
- Strong writing, grammar and comprehension skills.
- Understanding of Audio Description and Closed Captioning workflows.
- Ability to write concise, natural descriptions while retaining the tone and context of the original content.
- Good understanding of films, storytelling and visual communication.
- Familiarity with SRT files, timecodes or subtitling tools is an advantage.
- Experience in AD, CC, subtitling, localization, translation, scriptwriting or media is preferred.
