About the Role:
We are seeking a highly technical Head of IT to architect and govern our on-premise infrastructure, corporate office networks, and enterprise security posture for a, multi-location workforce. This role is laser-focused on optimizing our lean on-premise server footprint, scaling hybrid office networking, managing IT budgets and vendors, and enforcing rigorous endpoint controls. Crucially, this leader will also govern enterprise AI usage and aggressively manage Shadow AI and IT to ensure strict adherence to SEBI regulations and data privacy laws.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Networking & On-Premise Infrastructure
- Provide L4 Level of expertise in designing and implementing secure network architectures for our multi-location hybrid office spaces.
- Design, configure, install, and maintain all enterprise network hardware, taking ultimate ownership of Firewalls, routers, switches, and high-density Access Points (APs).
- Architect and administer a highly efficient, lean on-premise server footprint, local databases, and internal software applications tailored for branch operations.
- Monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring maximum network availability and reliability utilizing advanced routing and switching protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
IT Operations, Asset Management & Procurement
- Lead and manage all enterprise IT procurements (such as Windows, Macs, and network devices) strictly aligning with the company's financial and technical requirements.
- Govern comprehensive enterprise IT Asset Management (ITAM), ensuring accurate hardware inventory mapping, software licensing compliance, and efficient lifecycle tracking.
- Own the IT department budget and enforce strict vendor management, negotiating SLA-driven contracts with hardware suppliers, ISPs, and managed service providers.
- Collaborate strategically with internal IT teams and external vendors to resolve complex issues and implement recent on-premise solutions.
- Direct, mentor, and provide technical support and guidance to users and other IT Security personnel.
Endpoint Management, AI Governance & Shadow IT Management
- Administer and govern Google Workspace alongside centralized Identity and Access Management (IAM) controls for employees.
- Engineer and configure advanced Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) via Jumpcloud MDM to configure, deploy, and maintain security policies, profiles, and device settings across all corporate assets.
- Lead the hands-on implementation, configuration, and daily administration of enterprise Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions on endpoints.
- Manage and secure enterprise AI gateways, ensuring safe employee access to approved generative AI tools while preventing corporate data leakage and maintaining compliance.
- Govern and eliminate Shadow IT by actively discovering, auditing,
and blocking unauthorized SaaS applications, unvetted AI tools, and rogue browser extensions used across the enterprise.
- Drive local system automation and efficiency using hands-on experience on google appscript and Bash scripting.
- Enforce a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices through comprehensive IT policies mapped directly to SEBI's CSCRF and India's DPDP Act.
- Ensure network security access is tightly restricted to protect highly sensitive financial data against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction.
- Support regular IT security audits and continuous vulnerability assessments on all endpoint devices and internal network nodes, actively managing remediation.
- Implement and manage robust disaster recovery and backup solutions specific to the on-premise footprint and physical office connectivity.
- Maintain audit-ready, comprehensive documentation of network & system configurations.
- Prepare and present detailed technical reports on system performance and reliability to management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 12 to 14 years of progressive IT engineering and leadership experience, superseding the 8+ years required at the administrative level.
- 4–6 years directing IT operations, multi-site office networks, and endpoint security preferrably within a regulated financial services environment (PMS, Wealth Management, or AMC).
- Advanced certifications in networking( CCNP/CCIE) scaling up from foundational certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, and Microsoft MCSA is preferred
- Proven hands-on expertise in administering Jumpcloud MDM, enterprise EDR/DLP solutions, and continuous vulnerability management platforms.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and methodologies for governing internal service desks, incident management, and change control.
Working Conditions
- 5 Days work from Office to ensure high-touch governance of critical physical infrastructure and branch networks.
- On-call availability may be required to address IT or system emergencies.
- May require occasional evening and weekend work to perform non-disruptive hardware maintenance, patch management, or resolve outages.
