Software Proficiency: SolidWorks (Mandatory), AutoCAD (Preferred)Job OverviewWe are looking for a highly accurate and innovative Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our core engineering team. This is a critical role where you will act as the final gatekeeper for production quality by checking and confirming all drawings issued to the shop floor. Additionally, you will drive business growth by designing new mechanical concepts from scratch and leading cost and process optimization initiatives on our existing product lines.

Key Responsibilities

- Drawing Quality Assurance: Review, check, and formally approve all 2D fabrication and assembly drawings before they are issued to production to ensure zero errors on the shop floor.
- Recent Concept Development: Conceptualize, model, and develop innovative 3D designs for new heavy machinery products and custom customer requirements using SolidWorks.
- Value Engineering (Cost & Process Improvement): Analyze existing heavy machinery designs to identify opportunities for material reduction, manufacturing process simplification, and overall cost optimization.
- BOM & Documentation: Create and manage high-accuracy Bills of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation tailored for optimized procurement and manufacturing.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:



Partner closely with the production, welding, and assembly teams to ensure designs match fabrication capabilities and to resolve any shop-floor queries.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 5+ years of mechanical design experience, with a proven track record in heavy machinery, material handling, or industrial equipment manufacturing.
- Software Skills: Advanced, expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks (large assemblies, weldments, sheet metal) and AutoCAD.
- Technical Skills: Exceptional eye for detail with a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, Hydrulic componets, pnumetic componets, welding symbols, machining tolerances, and GD&T.;
- Mindset: Strong analytical problem-solver with a natural focus on cost-reduction, value engineering, and operational efficiency.
