About the Role
We're looking for a Hardware Design Engineer to join our hardware design team and contribute to developing high-reliability embedded and FPGA-based electronic systems.
You'll design processing circuits built around AMD Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ and other FPGA/SoC platforms, high-speed interfaces, and battery-operated power systems. You'll work closely with PCB layout, FPGA and embedded software engineers to make sure every board performs as intended in the lab and in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Create schematics for digital, mixed-signal and power circuits. This includes hierarchical design, symbol creation, DRC, netlist generation and BOM management.
- Design FPGA/SoC-based processing circuits (AMD Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+, Kintex, Artix) and high-speed interfaces such as DDR3/DDR4, HDMI, PCIe, Ethernet, USB and MIPI.
- Design power supply circuits for battery-operated systems. This includes buck/boost converters, LDOs, power sequencing, battery protection and charging, reverse-polarity and transient protection, and power budget and thermal calculations.
- Select components with attention to availability, lifecycle, derating, and industrial or military temperature grades.
- Prepare layout guidelines for the PCB team, covering placement priorities, impedance and length-matching requirements for high-speed nets, and power and grounding notes. Review the completed layout against the schematic intent.
- Carry out board bring-up, interface validation and debugging.
- Prepare design documents including block diagrams, ICDs, schematic review checklists, test procedures and design review reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics, ECE, EEE or Instrumentation.
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in schematic and circuit design.
- Good fundamentals in analog and digital electronics, power supplies and passive component selection.
- Understanding of multilayer stack-up, controlled impedance, and grounding and decoupling practices.
- Familiarity with signal integrity, EMI/EMC-aware layout and DFM/DFT guidelines.
- Ability to read datasheets, reference designs and application notes, and turn them into working circuits.
- Positive documentation and communication skills.
