Growth & Partnerships Lead - Neo San, Bangalore
What You Will Be BuildingBusiness development engine for two models:
1. Direct sales to India's leading corporates
CapEx and rental sales of the Neo-X into large corporates, educational institutions, manufacturing and hospitality accounts. These are built through direct relationships with the C-suite, Heads of Sustainability, Heads of Facilities, Heads of HR and Admin, and Procurement. Several decision makers, and each one buys for a different reason.
1. Fully Managed Service (FMS)
India's first on-site, low-carbon solution for sanitary waste. We install the machine at the client's site, we operate it, we report on it, and the client does nothing. We already run this for SAP Labs, Wipro and KPMG, and are in talks with large tech parks, airports and more. It is recurring revenue, and every single site is a route into the rest of that client's portfolio. Direct sales ensures penetration into the market. FMS amplifies revenues and replaces legacy sanitary waste models. You will run with both.
What You Will DoYou'll own key customer relationships end-to-end — from research and lead qualification to closing and growing accounts. Within months, you'll be building your own field team, shaping channel partnerships, and co-creating annual strategy directly with the leadership.
In practice, that breaks down as follows.
Own the Accounts
- Own named accounts and segments end to end, from market research and qualification through sales meetings, demos, commercial structuring, customising proposals, closure and handover to Operations and Customer Success Executives.
- Understand and serve the buying committee. Sustainability buys the carbon and the compliance line, Facilities buys the operational ease, HR and Admin buy dignity and hygiene for their people, Finance buys the cost of non-compliance.
- Understand compliance: SWM Rules, BRSR and CSR are the entry point into most of these conversations.
Grow the accounts you close — many of our customers have order potential in tens of Crores.
Build Your Own Segment Strategy
- Build a point of view and a strategy for the segments you own. This is a genuinely new category, so there is no incumbent playbook to copy and no published conversion benchmark to work from.
- Be self-motivated about understanding a complex and unique industry, from waste compliance to how a facilities budget actually gets approved by a corporate.
- Within a few months, take full independent ownership of key customer segments, including hiring and managing your own field sales team.
Build the Channel
- Manage channel partnerships across distributors, resellers, and experts who introduce us to clients, such as Real Estate and Facilities Management (RE/FM) firms, sustainability consultants, and donors and funding partners including CSR.
- Build relationships with the wider waste ecosystem, including leaders of non-profits, think tanks, sustainability agencies and government ministries.
Leave Data Behind You Loss reasons matter as much as wins here. In a new category, a clear no is information we cannot get any other way.
What We Are Looking ForEssential
- 3+ years of B2B sales, partnerships, business design or business development experience, preferably in the hardware, climate or sustainability technology sector.
- A proven track record of selling either sustainability-driven products or hardware. Relevant categories include but are not limited to solar and rooftop PV, waste management, water and wastewater treatment, energy efficiency and HVAC, EV infrastructure, and industrial or process equipment.
- Deals you have personally closed where the buyer was C-suite or a functional head, rather than a procurement-only transaction.
- Comfortable with travel. This role involves regular site visits across Bengaluru and outstation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to design and deliver a presentation that holds a room of senior people. Kannada strongly preferred. Fluency in other regional Indian languages is an advantage.
- Ability to foster trust and build rapport across a very diverse set of stakeholders, from a plant supervisor to a Chief Sustainability Officer or CFO.
- Passion for creating triple-bottom-line impact — ecological, social and economic.
Good to Have
- Experience selling a compliance or regulatory-driven service.
- Experience with multi-site or chain accounts, where one relationship converts many locations.
- Exposure to ESG and sustainability sectors.
- Experience hiring, training or managing a small field sales team.
- Strong analytical and data visualisation skills.
CompensationFixed salary is ₹60,000 per month. On top of that, sales incentive and ESOPs are on the table. Why This Role Is DifferentWe are creating a new category — on-site treatment of non-recyclable waste is new in India, and we are the ones establishing the playbook.
We are a small team, energised by solving big problems, and the waste problem is truly massive. Although we have explicit expectations for this role, in truth every one of us gets involved in strategy, is expected to think independently, and is curious about a range of work beyond our own remit. We would not have it any other way.
