Role Description The GRC Trainer internship role is a remote position focused on developing and delivering training content related to Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) within cybersecurity. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching GRC frameworks and standards, preparing structured learning materials, creating presentations and demo scenarios, and assisting in recording or conducting online sessions. The intern will support course design, update training content based on new regulations and industry trends,



and respond to learner queries to improve understanding and engagement.

The role also involves collaborating with senior trainers and subject matter experts to refine curriculum, ensure accuracy of all materials, and contribute to community-focused educational initiatives.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge or interest in Governance, Risk, and Compliance concepts (e.g., policies, controls, risk assessment, regulatory requirements).
- Ability to research and synthesize information from cybersecurity standards and frameworks (such as ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, or similar).
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics in simple, structured language.
- Basic experience or coursework in cybersecurity, information security, or related fields; familiarity with training or mentoring is an advantage.
- Comfort with creating learning materials (slides, documents, scripts) and using common online collaboration and presentation tools.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote internship setting.
- Demonstrated interest in teaching, content creation, or community education; prior online content or technical writing experience is beneficial.
- Enrollment in or completion of a degree or certification program in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
