About The Role We are currently seeking a highly skilled and strategic Game Designer specializing in board game reasoning and AI training. This full-time, remote position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge artificial intelligence projects by designing and evaluating complex reasoning tasks centered around board games.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of game mechanics, strategic decision-making, and rule-based systems, playing a vital role in developing datasets that enhance AI performance. Qualifications The successful candidate will have a background that combines analytical thinking with practical experience in game design or related fields.

Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, cognitive science, game design, philosophy, economics,



or a comparable discipline. A minimum of two years of professional or semi-professional experience in board game design, playtesting, or involvement in tabletop game communities is essential. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of logic, probabilistic reasoning, game mechanics, and complex rule systems.

Knowledge of game theory, behavioral economics, decision science, or formal logic will be considered a significant advantage. Excellent written communication skills are necessary for documenting evaluation results, creating guidelines, and collaborating with team members effectively.

Responsibilities

- Create and review game-based reasoning tasks designed to evaluate AI systems, ensuring they accurately reflect strategic decision-making and rule adherence.
- Analyze board-game scenarios, develop decision trees, and construct rule-based systems to generate high-quality datasets for AI training and evaluation.
- Evaluate AI-generated responses for correctness, logical consistency, and reasoning quality, providing detailed feedback to improve model outputs.
- Develop prompts, rubrics, and evaluation guidelines for board game and strategy-focused tasks,



ensuring clarity and robustness in assessment criteria.
- Identify logical errors, rule violations, and flawed reasoning in AI responses, contributing to the creation of benchmarks and evaluation standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine dataset quality, enhance evaluation methodologies, and implement best practices in AI reasoning assessment.
