About The Role

Join the dynamic digital arm of India’s renowned media conglomerate, Hindustan Times, as a Graphic Design Intern at HT Digital Streams. This role offers an exciting opportunity for aspiring graphic designers to contribute to some of the most-read digital platforms in the country, including Hindustan Times and Mint. As a Graphic Design Intern, you will be responsible for creating visually compelling content that enhances storytelling and engages a diverse audience.

Your designs will support news stories, marketing campaigns, and digital features, ensuring that content is not only informative but also visually appealing and shareable. Qualifications To be successful in this role,



candidates should have recently graduated or be in their final year of study in Graphic Design, Communication Design, or a related field. A strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, technical skills, and a keen eye for detail is essential. Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is mandatory.

Knowledge of Figma or After Effects will be considered an advantage, as it reflects versatility in digital content creation. Candidates should possess excellent visual storytelling skills, a good sense of typography and layout, especially optimized for digital and mobile consumption. The ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines, communicate effectively within a team, and adapt to evolving project requirements are critical attributes for this role.

Responsibilities

- Digital Storytelling: Develop social media creatives, infographics, thumbnails, and other visual assets for Hindustan Times and Mint platforms to enhance news dissemination and audience engagement.
- Editorial Support: Design engaging visual elements for news articles, long-form features, and special digital microsites, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and editorial tone.
- Brand Marketing: Assist in the creation of marketing collateral such as emailers, app banners,



and promotional graphics to support digital subscription initiatives and marketing campaigns.
- Collaboration: Work closely with editors, product managers, and marketing teams to translate trending topics and content ideas into visually appealing and viral digital visuals.
- Quality & Speed: Maintain high standards of design quality while delivering work within tight newsroom deadlines, demonstrating efficiency and attention to detail.
