Position Overview The Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) will be part of the Industrial team, supporting the design and development of industrial products and systems.
The role offers hands-on exposure to product development, CAD modelling, engineering drawings, design validation, prototype development, testing, and manufacturing processes. The GET will work closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams while developing strong technical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and development of heavy-duty industrial products and components.
- Create and modify 3D CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks/NX.
- Assist in preparing detailed engineering drawings in accordance with ANSI standards and GD&T; practices.
- Support design calculations, tolerance stack-ups, and engineering documentation.
- Participate in prototype builds, testing, and validation activities.
- Assist in conducting basic FEA studies and interpreting analysis results under guidance.
- Support VAVE and product improvement initiatives aimed at cost reduction and manufacturability enhancement.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, procurement, and supplier teams during product development activities.
- Learn and apply DFM/DFA principles in component and assembly design.
- Assist in root cause analysis of design, production, and field-related issues.
- Participate in design reviews and project meetings.
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in BE / M-Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- 0-1 years of experience in Mechanical product design
