Job Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs) to join our engineering and manufacturing teams.
The selected candidates will receive on-the-job training and will have the opportunity to work in one of the following functional areas based on their interest, aptitude, and organizational requirements:
- Production Planning & Control (PPC)
- Costing & Estimation
- Quality Assurance (QA)
- Engineering Design
This is an excellent opportunity for engineering graduates who are interested in building a career in manufacturing, engineering operations, project coordination, and industrial processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Control (PPC)
- Support production planning and scheduling activities.
- Monitor production orders and progress against planned schedules.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Engineering, and Quality teams.
- Track material availability and production requirements.
- Monitor manufacturing activities and identify potential delays.
- Maintain production trackers, schedules, and MIS reports.
- Support capacity planning and resource utilization.
- Assist in identifying bottlenecks and improving production flow.
- Maintain and update relevant ERP/MRP records.
2. Costing & Estimation
- Assist in preparing cost estimates and quotations for engineering/manufacturing projects.
- Study customer requirements, drawings, specifications,
and Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Support estimation of material, machining, fabrication, assembly, labor, and other manufacturing costs.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Engineering, and other teams to obtain cost inputs.
- Analyze historical costing and manufacturing data.
- Assist in preparing quotation and costing sheets.
- Support cost comparison and variance analysis.
- Maintain costing records and databases.
- Develop an understanding of manufacturing processes and their impact on product cost.
3. Quality Assurance (QA)
- Support quality inspection and assurance activities.
- Assist in reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, inspection requirements, and quality documentation.
- Support preparation and maintenance of inspection reports and quality records.
- Coordinate with Production and Engineering teams to address quality issues.
- Assist in root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
- Support quality audits and process improvement activities.
- Monitor compliance with defined quality standards and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining quality documentation and records.
- Develop an understanding of quality systems, inspection methods, and manufacturing standards.
Common Responsibilities
Depending on the assigned department, the trainee may also:
- Learn and work with ERP/MRP systems.
- Prepare Excel-based reports, trackers, and dashboards.
- Analyze manufacturing and operational data.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Support documentation and reporting activities.
- Attend training programs related to manufacturing processes, quality, costing, and project operations.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and ensure timely completion.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates who are:
- Recent graduates with a BE/B.Tech degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Interested in building a career in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
- Willing to learn and work in cross-functional teams.
- Positive at analytical and problem-solving activities.
- Strong in communication and coordination.
Preferred Skills
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Basic knowledge of engineering drawings and BOMs.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
