- General Manager – Boiler & Power PlantPosition SummaryResponsible for overall management, operation, maintenance, reliability, safety, efficiency, and cost control of the boiler and captive power plant. Team: Operations, Mechanical Maintenance, Electrical, Instrumentation, Utilities, Shift Operations, and Support Staff.
- Lead overall Boiler & Power Plant operations and maintenance.
- Ensure continuous and reliable generation of steam and electricity as per plant requirements.
- Manage operation and maintenance of boilers, turbines, generators, coal/biomass handling, fuel systems, water treatment, cooling systems, and auxiliaries.
- Develop preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance programs.
- Monitor plant efficiency, heat rate, fuel consumption, generation cost, and equipment performance.
- Ensure compliance with electrical, boiler, environmental, fire, and occupational safety regulations.
- Plan annual maintenance, major shutdowns, overhauling, and capital projects.
- Prepare and control the department's annual budget, OPEX and CAPEX.
- Lead and develop operations, maintenance, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and utility teams.
- Coordinate with production, engineering, purchase, stores, finance, and senior management.
- Identify opportunities for energy conservation, fuel optimization, and reduction of operating costs.
- Monitor critical equipment and implement reliability-improvement measures.
- Ensure availability of critical spares, consumables, and maintenance resources.
- Investigate major breakdowns and implement RCA and corrective/preventive actions.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, emergency drills, and toolbox meetings.
- Maintain statutory records, licenses, inspection reports, and regulatory documentation.
- Prepare daily, monthly, and annual performance reports for management.

- Relevant certification/licensing required under applicable boiler/electrical regulations.
- Typically 15–25+ years of experience in power plant/boiler operations and maintenance, depending on plant size.
- Robust experience in captive power plants, industrial boilers, turbines, generators, utilities, and large maintenance teams.
- Experience in budgeting, project execution, statutory compliance, and team leadership.
Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
