KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Project Strategy, Feasibility & Planning

- Lead site/location assessment, techno-commercial feasibility studies and preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPR) for MCA, SMCA and future products.
- Develop the overall project master plan, including scope, Work Breakdown Structure, schedule, resource plan and risk register, and obtain management approval.

2. Engineering & Technical Oversight

- Manage basic and detailed engineering with consultants; review and approve PFDs, P&IDs;, heat and mass balances, equipment datasheets, layouts and plot plans.
- Ensure engineering is suitable for corrosive, chlorine-based chemistry, including material of construction (MOC) selection, glass-lined/lined equipment, chlorine storage and handling, and HCl gas recovery/scrubbing systems.

3. Project Execution, Cost & Procurement

- Prepare, obtain approval for and control the project capital budget (CAPEX); monitor cost, cash flow and variances and report deviations with corrective actions.
- Oversee procurement of long-lead equipment, vendor selection, techno-commercial evaluation, contract finalization, inspection and expediting.
- Manage civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and utility contractors to ensure quality workmanship and timely execution.
- Track progress against milestones through regular reviews and critical-path management; resolve bottlenecks proactively.

4. Commissioning & Commercialization

- Lead pre-commissioning, mechanical completion, water/solvent trials, commissioning and plant trial runs through to successful commercial production.
- Conduct performance guarantee test runs and ensure the plant achieves rated capacity, yield,



consumption norms and product specifications.
- Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), start-up/shutdown and emergency procedures, and train operations, maintenance and QC teams before handover.
- Coordinate with QC/R&D; on analytical methods and monitor laboratory results during trials and stabilization to achieve consistent product quality.

5. Health, Safety & Workplace (HSE) and Process Safety

- Oversee all project activities across every phase (site preparation, civil works, erection, installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning and trial runs) with overall accountability for ensuring zero accidents, including employees, contractors and visitors
- Ensure robust chlorine safety systems, including leak detection, emergency scrubbers, emergency kits and an on-site emergency plan, in line with applicable hazardous chemical rules.
- Enforce the permit-to-work system (hot work, confined/vessel entry, height work, etc.) and review and sign permits as required.
- Ensure environmental controls for effluent, emissions and hazardous waste are designed and operating to consent conditions.

6. Statutory Approvals & Compliance

- Obtain and maintain all project-related statutory approvals, such as Environmental Clearance, Consent to Establish/Operate (GPCB), factory plan approval and licence, PESO licences, boiler/pressure vessel approvals and fire NOC.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure the project and plant remain fully compliant with environmental, safety and factory legislation, working with the companys legal and compliance functions.
