Role Description The Gem Portal Specialist will manage and oversee all day-to-day activities related to the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal for SAVEMAX | A.B.

Fire Safety

Systems. This full time, on-site role based in Sonipat involves handling product listings, updating catalog information, managing tenders and bids, and ensuring compliance with GeM guidelines and documentation requirements. The specialist will coordinate with internal teams to gather technical and commercial details, upload and maintain accurate data, track order status, and follow up on payments and contract-related activities. The role includes monitoring relevant tenders, preparing quotations, responding to buyer queries, and generating periodic reports on portal performance and sales.



The specialist will also support process improvements, maintain records, and ensure timely completion of all GeM-related tasks.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in operating and managing the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal, including product listing, tender participation, and order processing.
- Ability to work with data and documentation, including maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with portal and contract requirements.
- Good communication and coordination skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and government or institutional buyers.
- Basic understanding of sales, procurement, and commercial processes, preferably in manufacturing, industrial products, or fire safety systems.
- Comfort with using computers and office software (e.g., MS Excel, Word, email) for data entry, tracking, and reporting.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
- Prior experience working with GeM portal or similar government e-procurement platforms is highly beneficial.
- Minimum educational qualification: diploma or bachelor’s degree in any discipline; commerce, business, or related fields preferred.
- Willingness to work on-site in Sonipat and adapt to evolving portal processes, regulations, and business needs.
