Fund Accounting Lead / Associate Vice President - 15+ Years - Pune

Are you an experienced Fund Accounting / Fund Administration professional with strong expertise in private equity, hedge funds, financial reporting and team leadership? We are looking for a senior qualified to lead Fund Accounting operations and drive governance, controls and process excellence.

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage a high-performing Fund Accounting team, providing guidance, training and performance feedback.
- Oversee NAV calculations, financial statements, capital activities and financial reporting for assigned funds.
- Manage fund administrator relationships, audits, SLAs, KPIs and governance requirements.
- Act as an escalation point for complex accounting and reporting issues.
- Drive process improvements, SOP governance, operational efficiency and transition/offshoring initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with fund prospectuses, contractual requirements and applicable accounting standards.
- Support annual financial statement preparation and audit processes across designated funds.
- Collaborate with Fund Governance & Control, Strategy, Operations, Finance, Auditors and Fund Administrators.
- Provide oversight across multiple investment strategies and support capital calls, distributions and related calculations.
- Monitor team performance, monthly metrics, billing processes and delivery against agreed KPIs.

Requirements





- CA/MBA or equivalent qualification with 15+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Extensive experience in Fund Administration, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Hedge Funds or Asset Management.
- Strong knowledge of private/hedge fund structures, financial reporting and fund accounting.
- Prior experience managing high-performing teams comprising CA/CFA/MBA professionals.
- Strong understanding of NAV, financial statements, audits and fund reporting.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills with strong PowerPoint proficiency.
- Good understanding of IFRS, US GAAP and/or Lux GAAP.
- Exposure to carry structures, waterfalls and financial instruments across the capital structure will be an advantage.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and a continuous-improvement mindset.
