About Orange Sugar

Orange Sugar is a premium D2C kidswear brand built on the belief that what touches a child's skin matters. We engineer comfort-first, fabric-led clothing for kids across our own website and marketplaces like Myntra, FirstCry, Amazon, and Nykaa Fashion. We're a small, fast-moving team building a category-defining brand and are looking for someone who wants to be in the thick of it.

The Role

You'll own the design of our girls' wear line, from concept to production. That covers dresses, co-ord sets, tops, bottoms, nightwear, and seasonal and festive collections. You'll work closely with the founders and production team, to create designs that are playful, comfortable, and commercially strong.

What You'll Do

- Conceptualise and design collections for girls (ages 2–12)
- Create mood boards, sketches, tech packs, and spec sheets
- Develop prints, embroideries, and surface details that feel fresh but timeless
- Source and select cotton fabrics, trims,



and finishes with comfort and skin safety as the priority
- Coordinate with production team on sampling, fit corrections, and production timelines
- Track kidswear trends, customer feedback, and bestseller data to guide what we design next
- Make sure every design works for real kids: easy to wear, easy to wash, and comfortable all day

What We're Looking For

- Degree or diploma in Fashion Design (NIFT, Pearl, or equivalent preferred)
- 2–4 years of experience in kidswear or womenswear design; girls' wear is a strong plus
- Strong eye for colour, print, and silhouette, with a feel for the Indian aesthetic
- Hands-on knowledge of cotton fabrics, construction, and kids' sizing and fit
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (CLO 3D is a bonus)
- Experience working with vendors and managing samples through to production
- Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a rapid-moving startup
