Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fashion Designer role based in Ernakulam.

The Fashion

Designer will conceptualize and create seasonal collections aligned with the Grass Hopper brand identity, focusing on modern, stylish, and comfortable garments. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching trends, developing sketches and technical drawings, selecting textiles and trims, coordinating embroidery and other embellishments, and overseeing fittings to ensure superior garment construction and fit. The role involves close collaboration with pattern makers, production teams,



and merchandising to translate designs into commercially viable products while maintaining quality and cost objectives.

The Fashion

Designer will also support brand-building initiatives by contributing to lookbooks, visual presentations, and design input for marketing campaigns.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Fashion Design and Fashion, with the ability to develop original concepts that align with brand aesthetics.
- Knowledge of Textiles, including fabric properties, suitability for various garments, and sourcing considerations.
- Proficiency in Embroidery design and application, including placement, techniques, and coordination with overall garment design.
- Hands-on experience with Fitting, garment construction details, and collaboration with pattern and production teams to ensure optimal fit.
- Relevant academic background in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Apparel Technology, or a related field.
- Ability to use fashion design tools and software (e.g., CAD, illustration software) for sketches and technical packs.
- Solid attention to detail, quality orientation, and understanding of mass production constraints in garment manufacturing.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to work with design, production, and merchandising functions.
- Industry experience in branded apparel or ready-to-wear fashion is highly beneficial.
