Role Description The Extrusion Press Erection and Installation Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Olpad, responsible for overseeing the installation, alignment, and commissioning of aluminium extrusion presses and associated equipment.

Responsibilities include planning and executing erection activities, supervising contractors and technicians, and ensuring that mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems are installed according to design specifications and safety standards. The role involves conducting tests and inspections, troubleshooting issues during start-up, and coordinating with maintenance, production, and quality teams to achieve stable,



efficient press operation. The engineer will also prepare technical documentation, installation reports, and maintenance guidelines, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and performance.

Qualifications

- Strong mechanical engineering knowledge related to heavy industrial machinery, preferably extrusion presses, including understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical assemblies.
- Experience in erection, installation, and commissioning of large industrial equipment, including alignment, leveling, and integration of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, P&IDs;, equipment manuals, and engineering specifications.
- Working knowledge of industrial safety standards and practices, including protected handling of heavy equipment, lockout/tagout procedures, and risk assessments.
- Familiarity with aluminium extrusion processes, press tonnage requirements, billet handling, and ancillary equipment such as handling systems, quenching, and ageing furnaces (preferred).
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues during installation and commissioning, using structured troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Competence in using basic engineering tools and measurement instruments (e.g., levels, micrometers, dial gauges, laser alignment tools) for precise installation work.
- Effective communication and coordination skills for working with cross-functional teams, vendors, contractors, and external service providers.
