Role Summary

Responsible for designing exterior components, managing product development lifecycle, and collaborating with suppliers to ensure manufacturability and quality of parts.

What Youll Do

- Design exterior components considering packaging, material selection, and thickness
- Collaborate with suppliers on part development
- Apply Design for Manufacturability and Assembly principles
- Participate in all stages of the Product Development Lifecycle, from concept to manufacturing
- Perform part testing, including DV and PV testing
- Conduct DFMEA for components
- Design sheetmetal parts
- Apply tolerance and GD&T; to designs

What We re Looking For (Must-Haves):




- Proficiency in Catia V5 and Teamcenter
- Experience designing exterior automotive components
- Knowledge of material selection, properties, and grades
- Experience in supplier interaction for part development
- Experience in part testing (DV & PV)
- Experience in Design for Manufacturability and Assembly
- Experience performing DFMEA
- Sheetmetal design experience
- Experience applying tolerance and GD&T;
