Export Operations Executive

We’re hiring a full time Export Operations Executive to join Babco Foods India.

We are looking for someone with hands-on experience managing export documentation and coordinating international shipments from India. Prior export experience in the food industry is required. This role involves food-safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements that vary across India and international destination markets.

You will work with manufacturers, freight forwarders, CHAs, shipping partners, regulatory agencies, and Babco teams in India, the United States, and other international markets.

This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent follow-up, and the ability to take ownership of shipments from documentation preparation through customs clearance and final shipping documents.

Location: India (remote)

Working Schedule: India daytime hours

International Collaboration: Must be available for scheduled meetings between 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time when required

What This Role Requires

- Strong understanding of food export documentation and shipment coordination
- Experience working with CHAs, freight forwarders, manufacturers, and shipping partners
- Ability to identify documentation errors and discrepancies before they create problems
- Excellent organization, follow-up, and attention to detail
- Clear professional communication in English
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of shipments

Core Responsibilities

- Prepare and verify export documents including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists,



Shipping Bills, and Bills of Lading
- Coordinate shipments with manufacturers, CHAs, freight forwarders, and other service providers
- Review shipment details including product descriptions, quantities, values, weights, HS codes, and consignee information
- Coordinate required export, customs, food-safety, and regulatory certificates
- Track shipments, documentation, ETD/ETA, and outstanding actions through completion
- Maintain organized shipment records and provide documentation to overseas customers and internal teams
- Proactively resolve missing, incorrect, or inconsistent shipment documentation

Hard Requirements

- 3+ years of hands-on export experience in the food, FMCG food, agricultural food, or related food-products industry
- Practical experience dealing with food-specific export, regulatory, or food-safety documentation
- Hands-on experience with Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Shipping Bills, and Bills of Lading
- Experience coordinating with CHAs and freight forwarders
- Strong Excel and documentation skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- High attention to detail and strong follow-up skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision





Strong Plus

- Experience with merchant exports
- Knowledge of IEC, DGFT, FSSAI, APEDA, Spice Board, RoDTEP, Duty Drawback, and LUT
- Experience exporting food products to the United States or other highly regulated international markets
- Familiarity with FDA or other international food-regulatory documentation
- Experience with FCL and LCL shipments
- Experience using ERP or shipment-management systems

- This is a hands-on operational role with responsibility for shipment accuracy and follow-through
- Normal work is performed during India daytime hours
- Scheduled collaboration with U.S. and international personnel may occur between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time
