We are looking for an experienced Engineering Lead with strong hands-on expertise in Python, AWS and Terraform/IaC.

The ideal candidate should have strong product development experience, excellent communication skills and a proven track record of working on large-scale engineering projects. The candidate should be capable of providing technical leadership while remaining hands-on with engineering and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and contribute to the design, development and delivery of scalable software products.
- Provide technical leadership to engineering teams and guide technical decisions.
- Develop and maintain applications using Python.
- Design, deploy and manage cloud-based solutions on AWS.
- Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Participate in architecture, system design and technical discussions.
- Drive engineering best practices around scalability, reliability, security and maintainability.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, QA, DevOps and other stakeholders.
- Review technical solutions and provide guidance to team members.
- Troubleshoot complex technical and production issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development and deployment processes.

Mandatory Technical Skills :

Python :

- Strong hands-on experience with Python.
- Experience developing production-grade applications.
- Strong understanding of application architecture, coding practices and debugging.

AWS :

- Strong hands-on experience with AWS.
- Candidates should have practical experience with multiple AWS services. Examples may include :
- EC2
- ECS / EKS
- Lambda
- S3
- RDS
- DynamoDB
- VPC
- IAM




- API Gateway
- SQS / SNS
- CloudWatch
- CloudFront
- Other relevant AWS services

Terraform / Infrastructure as Code :

- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform.
- Experience provisioning and managing AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
- Experience creating or maintaining reusable Terraform modules.
- Experience managing infrastructure across multiple environments.
- Understanding of Terraform state management and infrastructure automation.
- Experience integrating Terraform with CI/CD pipelines is preferred.

Product Development Experience :

- Robust experience working in a product development environment.
- Experience working on large-scale or complex products/projects.
- Should have exposure to the complete software development lifecycle.
- Experience working with cross-functional engineering and product teams.

Leadership & Communication :

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong technical leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to mentor and guide engineering teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Candidate Profile :

- 9 - 15 years of overall software engineering experience.
- Strong Python development experience.
- Strong AWS experience with clearly demonstrable hands-on usage of AWS services.
- Strong Terraform / IaC experience.
- Positive product development background.
- Experience working on sizeable engineering projects.
- Demonstrated career stability.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid model from Bengaluru.
- Must be available for a face-to-face interview.
