Key Responsibilities
Instrumentation & Maintenance
- Perform calibration, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of field instruments such as Pressure, Temperature, Level, Flow, RTD, and Thermocouple instruments.
- Carry out installation, mounting verification, configuration, testing, and commissioning of field instruments.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation systems.
- Troubleshoot instrument faults and minimize equipment/plant downtime.
- Handle installation and troubleshooting of vibration sensors for rotating equipment.
Control Valves & MOV
- Perform control valve inspection, stroke checking, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Work on Globe, Diaphragm, Gate, Ball, and Butterfly valves.
- Troubleshoot Motor Operated Valves (MOVs), actuators, feedback signals, interlocks, and control circuits.
- Conduct functional testing of valves and associated control loops.
Loop Checking & Commissioning
- Execute complete instrument loop checking from field instruments to PLC/DCS/SCADA systems.
- Perform cable continuity, termination, signal verification, and loop integrity checks.
- Identify and rectify wiring, signal, polarity, termination, and instrumentation faults.
- Participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning, cold commissioning, hot commissioning, and start-up activities.
- Verify field signals, alarms, trips, permissives, and interlocks.
- Automation & Control Systems
- Interface with PLC, DCS, SCADA, HMI, and RTU systems.
Automation & Control Systems
- Interface with PLC, DCS, SCADA, HMI, and RTU systems.
Instrument Configuration & Calibration
- Use HART 375/475 Communicators, Smart Calibrators, TRACS,
pressure calibrators, loop calibrators, and multimeters.
- Configure and troubleshoot smart field instruments.
- Perform instrument ranging, parameter configuration, diagnostics, and calibration.
- Maintain proper calibration and testing records.
Industrial Communication
- Troubleshoot industrial communication systems and protocols such as:
- HART
- Profibus
- Foundation Fieldbus
- Industrial Ethernet
- Industrial Wireless
- Coordinate with automation/control teams for communication-related issues.
Engineering Documentation
- Read and interpret:
- P&IDs;
- Instrument Hook-up Drawings
- Instrument Loop Diagrams (ILDs)
- Cable Schedules
- Instrument Datasheets
- Wiring/Termination Drawings
- Instrument Index
- I/O Lists
- Plant Layouts
- Verify instrument tagging, installation, cable termination, and field wiring against approved project drawings.
- Maintain accurate records of calibration, loop checking, testing, maintenance, and commissioning activities.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Instrumentation & E&I; field activities.
- Good knowledge of process instrumentation and calibration.
- Experience in loop checking and commissioning.
- Practical knowledge of control valves and MOVs.
- Experience with PLC/DCS/SCADA/HMI systems.
- Knowledge of VFD configuration and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with HART Communicator 375/475 and calibration equipment.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus, HART, and Ethernet.
- Ability to read and understand P&IDs;, ILDs, Hook-up Drawings, wiring diagrams, and instrument datasheets.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
Qualification
- B.E. / B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering or a related engineering discipline from a recognized university/institute.
Experience
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in E&I; field execution, instrumentation maintenance, commissioning, or plant operations.
- Candidates with experience in power plants, process plants, chemical/petrochemical plants, oil & gas, manufacturing, or other heavy industrial projects will be preferred.
Candidate Profile
- Strong field execution and troubleshooting capability.
- Ability to work independently at an active industrial project site.
- Positive understanding of industrial safety and permit-to-work procedures.
- Willingness to work at Mundra, Gujarat.
- Candidates who can join immediately or within 15 days will be preferred.
- Willingness to relocate to Mundra for the project duration.
- Perform field-level troubleshooting of analog and digital I/O signals.
- Configure and verify VFD parameters as per motor ratings and process requirements.
- Support testing and commissioning of automation and control systems.
Pay: From ₹500,000.00 per year
