Job Summary
As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of our engineering team, responsible for designing, developing, and testing embedded software for various electronic devices.
Responsibilities
- Develop embedded software solutions for microcontroller-based systems, ensuring functionality, reliability, and performance.
- Write productive and modular code in languages like C and C++ to control hardware components and peripherals.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software with hardware components, ensuring seamless communication and functionality.
- Debug and troubleshoot software and hardware integration issues.
- Work with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and develop firmware for embedded systems.
- Implement low-level drivers and interface software for sensors, communication modules, and other embedded components.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of embedded software to identify and fix bugs, ensuring the reliability and stability of the system.
- Develop and execute test cases, document results, and iterate on software improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and product designers, to ensure cohesive product development.
- Document software designs, specifications, and test procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure embedded software complies with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in embedded software development.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in embedded software development.
- Experience with microcontroller-based embedded systems projects or internships is a plus.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as C and C++ for embedded systems.
- Familiarity with microcontrollers, sensors, and communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART).
- Knowledge of Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and embedded firmware development.
- Ability to debug and optimize embedded software for performance and memory usage.
- Basic understanding of hardware components and their interaction with embedded software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities within a team environment.
