Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Technician – Rooftop Solar O&M; with hands-on experience in the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems at rooftop solar projects.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of rooftop solar plants, with a strong focus on inverters and associated electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform routine O&M; activities at rooftop solar sites across India.

· Monitor and troubleshoot solar inverters, including fault identification and basic corrective actions.

· Carry out inspection, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AC/DC electrical systems.

· Handle electrical equipment such as LT panels, ACDB/DCDB, MCCB/MCB, isolators, SPDs, cables, earthing and protection systems.

· Conduct preventive and breakdown maintenance of solar plant electrical systems.

· Identify electrical faults and coordinate with senior engineers/vendors for major repairs.

· Perform basic electrical measurements using multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester (megger), and other testing equipment.

· Check inverter alarms, generation-related issues, tripping, communication faults, and other electrical abnormalities.

· Inspect solar modules, string connections, junction boxes, cables,



and connectors for electrical issues.

· Maintain site-level O&M; reports, breakdown reports, checklists, readings, and maintenance records.

· Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures and use of appropriate PPE while working at sites.

· Coordinate with site teams, customers, vendors, and the central O&M;/project team whenever required.

· Travel to different rooftop solar sites across India as per business requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

· ITI / Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent.

· 2–5 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in rooftop solar / solar power plants.

· Practical experience in solar inverter O&M; and troubleshooting is essential.

· Valuable knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems and solar plant electrical components.

· Hands-on experience with electrical testing and maintenance tools.

· Ability to independently identify and troubleshoot basic electrical and inverter-related faults.

· Willingness to travel extensively and work at rooftop solar sites across India.

· Knowledge of electrical safety practices and PPE requirements.

· Good communication and reporting skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates currently working as Electrical Technician, Solar Technician, O&M; Technician, Electrical Maintenance Technician, Solar O&M; Technician, or similar roles with hands-on experience in rooftop solar projects are preferred.
