Industry Projects + Technical Mentorship

Genfocus Academy, the Global Capability Creation Platform by Genfocus Group, is looking for an Electrical/Mechanical Drafting & Design professional who can work on real industrial projects while mentoring and developing trainees.

This is not a conventional trainer position. The candidate will be part of an industry–academia environment, contributing to project delivery while helping trainees develop practical, industry-ready skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle Electrical/Mechanical drafting and design assignments for real industrial projects.
- Prepare drawings, layouts, schematics, design documentation and other project deliverables.
- Work on GCC and other industrial projects following client requirements and industry standards.
- Use tools such as AutoCAD and Revit for drafting, design and project documentation.
- Review drawings and ensure accuracy, standards compliance and quality of deliverables.
- Coordinate with project engineers and other technical teams during project execution.
- Mentor trainees through hands-on sessions and real project exposure.
- Guide trainees in CAD workflows, drafting standards, design practices and documentation.
- Assign practical tasks and projects and provide technical feedback.




- Help trainees understand how engineering projects move from requirements → design → drafting → review → final deliverables.
- Contribute to developing an industry-oriented training curriculum based on current project practices.

Candidate Profile Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant discipline.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant industrial experience in drafting, design, engineering projects, MEP, or related areas.

Freshers with certification and relevant skills also preferred

Candidates should have practical knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit, good understanding of engineering drawings and documentation, and the ability to independently handle project-related tasks.

Good communication and presentation skills are important because the role involves technical mentorship of trainees in addition to engineering work.
