Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems, panels, motors, and plant machinery
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment
- Ensure safe operation of electrical installations as per statutory norms
- Monitor power consumption and support energy-saving initiatives
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams for smooth operations
- Supervise electrical contractors and external service providers
- Maintain electrical drawings, records, and maintenance logs
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory regulations, and audits
- Attend emergency breakdowns and ensure minimal downtime
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or process industry
- Experience in chemical or continuous process plants will be preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and equipment
- Hands-on experience with LT panels, motors, MCC, VFD, and control systems
- Knowledge of electrical safety practices and statutory compliance
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in shifts, if required
Other Requirements
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems
