Company Description Goyal Malleables Private Limited (GMPL) manufactures MS and HT steel angles, channels, and billets under the JET STEEL brand and has operated continuously since 2008 at its integrated plant near Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab. The facility houses the complete production process under one roof, including an induction furnace, continuous casting machine, and rolling mill. Each batch is tested in an in-house lab for chemical composition, tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation, with dedicated reheating operations for PGCIL supply.

GMPL offers a range of equal and unequal angles, channels, and billets in MS and HT grades compliant with IS 2062, and holds BIS/ISI, ISO 9001:2015, and ZED Gold certifications. The company is an approved vendor to major utilities and supplies fabricators and EPC contractors across multiple states for applications such as transmission towers, telecom towers, solar structures, industrial sheds, and general structural fabrication.

Role Description The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for operation, maintenance, and safety of all electrical systems including 66 kV substation operations and electrical systems of APCD, ensuring uninterrupted production and statutory compliance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Operation and maintenance of 66 kV HT substation, transformers, breakers, relays, and protection systems




- Electrical operation and maintenance of APCD (Air Pollution Control Devices), including control panels, MCCs, VFDs, interlocks, and protection systems
- Maintenance of HT/LT panels, motors (5 HP to 1000 HP), drives, and power distribution systems
- Monitoring and maintenance of APFC panels and power factor improvement
- Electrical fault diagnosis and breakdown handling with minimal downtime
- Coordination with utilities, contractors, and statutory authorities
- Ensuring APCD electrical systems operate whenever production equipment is running

EDUCATION

Minimum Education: Graduation (Bachelor’s Degree)

Technical Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic computer applications is preferred

EXPERIENCE

Minimum Experience: 5 years

Preferred Experience: 5–20 years in industrial or manufacturing plants with HT exposure

Candidates with experience in Steel Melting Shops (SMS) and integrated steel plants will be preferred.TECHNICAL & BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS

- Hands-on experience with 66 kV HT substations
- Robust APCD electrical knowledge and compliance focus
- Ability to handle breakdowns under pressure
- Basic documentation and reporting skills
