Role Description The Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining EV charging networks and related electrical infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include preparing technical designs and layout plans, coordinating with civil and electrical teams for installation, overseeing commissioning of EV charging stations, and ensuring compliance with safety, grid, and regulatory standards. The role involves monitoring system performance, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, optimizing network reliability, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, utility providers, and project managers.
The engineer will also support documentation, reporting,
and continuous improvement of EV charging solutions to meet project timelines and operational targets. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Vijayawada.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess robust skills in troubleshooting and fault diagnostics for electrical and electronic systems related to EV charging infrastructure.
- Candidates should possess infrastructure-related skills, including experience with electrical distribution systems, site layout planning, and coordination of construction and installation activities.
- Candidates should possess system administration skills for monitoring, maintaining, and updating EV charging management platforms and related software tools.
- Candidates should possess networking skills, including familiarity with communication protocols, connectivity of charging stations, and integration with backend systems.
- Candidates should possess network security awareness, including basic understanding of securing connected devices, data integrity, and compliance with security standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Electronics, or a related technical field; advanced certifications in EV technology or power systems are an advantage.
- Experience with EV charging standards (such as IEC, CHAdeMO, CCS), grid integration, and load management is highly beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to work on-site, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
