Position: EHS & Material Compliance Specialist
Location: Pune, India
Experience: 3 - 10 Years
Domain Preference: Powertrain, Internal Combustion Engines (IC Engines), Exhaust Systems, Aftertreatment Systems
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated EHS & Material Compliance Specialist to support Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and Material Compliance activities within the Powertrain, IC Engine, Exhaust, and Aftertreatment product engineering domain. The role involves maintaining compliance documentation, supporting global regulatory requirements, managing EHS systems, preparing compliance reports, and driving process automation initiatives to improve efficiency and data quality.
The ideal candidate will have experience in engineering or manufacturing environments supporting EHS compliance, material compliance documentation, regulatory reporting, and stakeholder coordination across global teams.
Key Responsibilities
EHS Documentation Management
- Maintain and update EHS documentation, including:
- Risk Assessments
- LoToTo (Lock-Out, Tag-Out, Try-Out) documents
- Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- EHS training records and materials
- Compliance records and audit documentation
- Ensure document lifecycle management, version control, and record retention compliance.
EHS & Regulatory Compliance
- Support Environmental, Health & Safety compliance programs.
- Assist in identifying compliance risks and implementing corrective actions.
- Support regulatory reporting and compliance monitoring activities.
- Ensure audit readiness through proper documentation and record maintenance.
- Track compliance actions and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Material Compliance Support
- Manage material compliance documentation and declarations.
- Support collection, review, and maintenance of supplier compliance information.
- Assist with regulatory data gathering for industry and customer-specific compliance requirements.
- Maintain documentation tracking and compliance status reports.
Quentic EHS System Administration
- Maintain and update records in the Quentic EHS platform.
- Support data management, workflow monitoring, and system validation activities.
- Generate reports, dashboards, and compliance metrics from the system.
- Provide user support and coordinate issue resolution.
Reporting & Data Analysis
- Prepare EHS and Material Compliance reports and presentations.
- Analyze compliance data and identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop management reports using Excel and PowerPoint.
- Monitor compliance KPIs and support governance reviews.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with global EHS teams, engineering SMEs, suppliers, and business stakeholders.
- Conduct follow-ups on compliance actions and documentation requirements.
- Facilitate communication between regional and global teams.
- Support cross-functional projects related to EHS and regulatory compliance.
Process Automation & Digitalization
- Develop, implement, and maintain automated workflows for EHS and Material Compliance documentation.
- Utilize Microsoft Copilot and approved AI tools to automate document creation and updating activities.
- Drive process standardization and workflow optimization initiatives.
- Establish validation and human-review controls to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
- Measure automation effectiveness through quality, efficiency, and productivity metrics.
