We are looking for an experienced and guest-focused Duty Manager to oversee the smooth day-to-day operations of the resort during assigned shifts. The Duty Manager will act as the management representative on duty, ensuring excellent guest service, effective coordination between departments, and timely resolution of operational issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall hotel operations during the assigned shift.
- Act as the Manager on Duty (MOD) and represent the management in the absence of senior leadership.
- Ensure smooth check-in, check-out, and overall guest experience.
- Handle and resolve guest complaints and service recovery situations promptly.
- Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B;, Engineering, Security, and other departments.
- Monitor operational standards and ensure compliance with hotel SOPs.
- Conduct regular property rounds and identify operational or safety concerns.
- Ensure VIP arrivals, special occasions, and guest requests are handled appropriately.
- Monitor room status, occupancy, and operational requirements.
- Ensure proper handover between shifts and maintain accurate records.
- Take appropriate decisions during emergencies and coordinate with the concerned departments.
- Monitor guest feedback and take corrective action where required.
- Ensure adherence to safety, security, hygiene,
and fire-safety standards.
- Support the Front Office team during peak operational periods.
- Prepare and maintain shift reports and communicate important updates to the management.
- Assist in maintaining discipline and professional standards among associates.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the management.
Candidate Profile
- Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management is mandatory.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in Front Office/Hotel Operations.
- Previous experience as a Duty Manager or in a supervisory/management role in a 5-star hotel or resort is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Front Office and overall hotel operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong guest-handling and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions under pressure.
- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Good knowledge of hotel systems and standard operating procedures.
