Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, is a CMI institution accredited A++ by NAAC (CGPA 3.78/4) and ranked 34th in NIRF 2025 (College category). The Office of Doctoral Research, Centre for Research and Development (CFRD), invites applications for PhD Spring Admissions 2026–27.
The Prospect
We are looking for motivated researchers to join our doctoral programmes as full-time or part-time PhD Research Scholars. Scholars receive structured coursework, guidance from qualified supervisors and the support of a Research Supervisory Committee throughout their research.

Eligibility
- Master's degree (1- or 2-year) with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA
- 4-year Bachelor's degree (Honours with Research) with at least 75% marks
- Professional qualifications (CA / CMA / CS) deemed equivalent by UGC
- Foreign degrees equivalent to an Indian Master's, with AIU recognition A 5% relaxation in marks applies to SC / ST / OBC / Differently-Abled / EWS candidates.
Selection Process
- Entrance test, KJUET (70%). UGC-NET / CSIR-NET / GATE / SLET holders are exempt.
- Personal interview with research proposal presentation (30%)
Fellowship and Support
- Fellowship of ₹15,000 per month for full-time scholars after coursework, for up to 30 months
- Annual scholarship of ₹10,000 for regular full-time candidates
- 33% fee waiver for national or state-level fellowship holders
- Annual contingency grant of up to ₹20,000 (STEM) / ₹10,000 (non-STEM)
Programme Structure The programme runs for 3 years, including 6 months of coursework, and must be completed within 6 years (conditionally extendable to 8). It is offered in full-time and part-time modes only; there is no distance mode.
