Responsibilities

- Assist the Senior Development Officer (SDO) in coordinating with assigned National Sports Federations (NSFs) for effective implementation of the Assistance to National Sports Federations (ANSF) Scheme and related activities.
- Assist in compilation, scrutiny and processing of Annual Calendar for Training and Competitions (ACTC) proposals, budget estimates and other proposals submitted by assigned NSFs, ensuring compliance with applicable guidelines and norms.
- Assist the SDO in examination and processing of proposals relating to National Coaching Camps, international competitions, foreign training/exposure, procurement of sports equipment, engagement of coaches/support staff and other activities under the ANSF Scheme.
- Assist in monitoring sanctions, fund releases, expenditure and utilization by assigned NSFs, including scrutiny and follow-up of Utilization Certificates, expenditure statements, advances and other financial documents.
- Maintain and update NSF-wise and scheme-wise records, databases, expenditure statements, pending cases and monitoring reports, and provide analytical inputs to the SDO for review and decision-making.
- Assist in processing matters relating to Cash Awards, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay National Welfare Fund for Sportspersons,



Pension to Meritorious Sportspersons and other athlete welfare schemes, as per prescribed procedures.
- Assist the SDO in coordination with NSFs, SAI Centres/ Regional Centres, Ministry and other stakeholders, including preparation of notes, briefs, reports, references, Parliamentary/RTI replies and other official communications.
- Undertake follow-up of decisions and directions of the Competent Authority/Committees, assist in resolving operational issues relating to assigned NSFs, and perform any other duties assigned by the Competent Authority/SDO from time to time

Experience Minimum 2 years of experience in the sports sector, out of which at least 1 year of experience should be in sports coaching, acquired after obtaining the Diploma in Sports Coaching

Educational Qualification

Mandatory:

Diploma in Sports Coaching from the National Institute of Sports (NSNIS), or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institute

Desirable:

- Masters Degree of two years’ duration from a recognized Indian University
- Master’s degree of one year’s duration from a recognized foreign university, in a relevant discipline such as Sports Management
- Technical/Skilled qualification such as B.Tech., MBA, or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
