Development Coordinator - Cushions

Role & responsibilities

Raw Material & Component Inspection:

Inspect foams, fabric, inserts, elastic materials, buckles, straps as per approved specifications.

- Final Product Inspection:

Perform visual and functional checks for fit, finish, labelling position, and packaging based on approved samples.
- First Article Approval (FAA):

Approve first samples before bulk production; ensure adherence to ergonomic and aesthesis design elements.
- Defect Tracking & Reporting:

Maintain inspection logs, document quality issues, and suggest corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Process Setup & Line Audits:

Approve production line setup and validate operator readiness before start of production.
- Compliance to Technical Specifications:

Ensure consistency with tech packs, patterns, reference samples, and tolerances provided by the R&D; team.
- Documentation & Traceability:





Maintain inspection records, issue logs, sample approvals, and ensure proper labelling and traceability of lots.

Key Requirements:

- Solid knowledge of foam types, stitching methods, fabric types, and cushion development.
- Ability to work independently at vendor locations and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Preferred - experience in quality control, Sourcing and development in cushions, seating systems, foams, etc.

Desirable Qualities:

- Understanding of ergonomic design related to cushion products.
- Eye for detail, structured documentation, and proactive problem-solving.
- Willingness to travel to vendor sites across regions as needed.
