Role & Responsibilities :

- Lead the Electrical and Mechanical Design departments and ensure timely execution of all design projects.
- Manage the complete product design lifecycle from concept development, design, simulation, prototyping, testing, validation, and production release.
- Design, develop, and verify Electrical Motors.
- Perform and review electromagnetic, thermal, structural, and mechanical design calculations using analytical methods and engineering software.
- Review and approve engineering drawings, 2D/3D models, design calculations, Bills of Materials (BOMs), specifications, and technical documentation.
- Conduct design validation through FEA simulations, prototype testing, performance evaluation, and failure analysis.
- Ensure all designs comply with applicable IEC, IEEE, NEMA, IS, RDSO, and customer-specific standards.
- Provide technical support during manufacturing, assembly, testing, commissioning, and field troubleshooting.
- Drive product optimization through value engineering, design standardization, localization, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Lead design reviews, risk assessments, DFMEA, and root cause analysis for continuous product improvement.
- Evaluate and implement current technologies, materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering tools to enhance product performance and reliability.
- Interact with customers, consultants, certification agencies, and vendors for technical discussions, design approvals, and project execution.
- Mentor, train,



and develop Electrical and Mechanical Design Engineers while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure timely release and maintenance of engineering documents, design revisions, and configuration management records.
- Monitor departmental KPIs, project milestones, engineering quality, and on-time delivery of design outputs.
- Promote compliance with company quality systems, IRIS/ISO requirements, engineering best practices, and safety standards.
- Present project progress, technical reports, and engineering solutions to senior management and customers whenever required.

Key Skills Required :

- Strong expertise in Electrical & Mechanical Design of Electric Motors.
- Hands-on experience with Electromagnetic, Thermal, Structural, and Mechanical Design.
- Experience in prototype development, testing, validation, failure analysis, and product optimization.
- Proficiency in Motor-CAD, ANSYS Maxwell, ANSYS Mechanical, SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD and other CAD/CAE tools.
- FEA & Design Validation, GD&T;, DFM, DFMEA & Root Cause Analysis
- Thorough understanding of IEC, IEEE, NEMA, IS, RDSO, and Railway industry standards
- Product Development & Value Engineering
