Job Summary

Mine Tech is looking for a skilled Mechanical Draughtsman / Design Engineer to prepare detailed engineering drawings, 3D models and fabrication drawings for mining equipment, shaft furnishing, mine winders, structural steel, industrial machinery and related engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare 2D engineering drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Develop General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings and detailed component drawings.
- Prepare structural steel, equipment layout, platform, support and machinery drawings.
- Interpret technical specifications, engineering calculations, client requirements and design inputs.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), material lists and cutting lists wherever required.
- Coordinate with design engineers, project managers, fabrication teams and site personnel.
- Incorporate client comments and revise drawings as per approved design requirements.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy, drawing standards, tolerances and proper documentation.
- Assist in preparing as-built drawings and maintain drawing revision records.

Required Qualifications




- Diploma or BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks, Inventor or other 3D modelling software is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of fabrication, welding symbols, material specifications and structural steel detailing is desirable.

Experience
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical drafting, industrial equipment design or fabrication drawings.
- Freshers with robust CAD skills and relevant technical knowledge may also apply.

Required Skills
- Good technical drawing and detailing skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to meet project deadlines and manage multiple drawings.
- Good coordination and communication skills.

Salary As per industry standards, based on qualifications and experience.
