Job Summary
We are looking for a CAD Engineer to join our R&D; / Mechanical Design team. The candidate will be responsible for 3D modelling, 2D drafting, detailed engineering drawings, product documentation and reverse engineering using Creo and AutoCAD.
Key Responsibilities
- Create 3D models and 2D drawings using Creo and AutoCAD.
- Work on the complete design cycle, including detailed design and CAD modelling.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, layouts and exploded views.
- Perform reverse engineering by measuring physical components and developing CAD models.
- Prepare sketches with dimensions for drafting and modelling.
- Understand project-specific requirements and coordinate with the reporting manager on design requirements.
- Develop and maintain product model and drawing documentation.
- Identify and discuss critical design issues with the Mechanical Design / VAVE Manager.
- Release design documents to the concerned stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Creo / PTC Creo and AutoCAD.
- Experience in 3D modelling and 2D drafting.
- Knowledge of Creo Solid Modelling, Sheet Metal, Piping and Cabling.
- Knowledge of surface/part designing and rendering.
- Good understanding of engineering and machine drawings.
- Knowledge of reverse engineering and product design.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office.
- SAP / PLM knowledge will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of chiller mechanical design is preferred but not mandatory.
Candidate Profile
- Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of total work experience.
- Minimum 1.5 years of relevant experience in mechanical/CAD design.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional/project teams.
- Solid attention to detail and design documentation.
