Civil CAD Designer is responsible for translating engineering and architectural concepts into precise, high-quality 2D drawings and detailed 3D Revit models for civil engineering projects, such as roadways and building services. This role involves drafting and updating design drawings, converting engineering mark-ups, and collaborating with engineers to ensure design integrity and project timelines are met.
Key Responsibilities Design & Drafting: Produce high-quality 2D drawings and develop accurate 3D Revit models based on engineers' sketches, architectural concepts, and project specifications; draft and update AutoCAD and Revit design drawings for civil and electrical building services projects, ensuring precision and adherence to standards.
Technical
Translation & Modeling: Convert engineering mark-ups into detailed design documentation; proficiently use AutoCAD and Revit to create and refine models and drawings, demonstrating a clear understanding of roadway hierarchy and civil design principles.
Project
Coordination & Documentation: Prepare working drawings for fabrication, construction, machining,
and inspection; assist in preparing project timetables, work programs, job orders, and inspection and test plans to ensure organized project execution.
Remote
Support & Troubleshooting: Provide remote CAD support for 2D/3D design tasks, troubleshooting design-related issues, and coordinating project activities; ensure all designs meet US business hours requirements when applicable.
Quality
Assurance & Compliance: Maintain accuracy and consistency across all drawings and models; adhere to all relevant design standards, codes, and project specifications to ensure the structural integrity and functionality of civil designs.
