Role & responsibilities

Design & Drafting

- Create 2D and 3D models, assemblies and detailed drawings in SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar CAD tools
- Prepare accurate machining drawings for new components, applying GD&T; correctly
- Design jigs, fixtures and tooling to support production

Product Development

- Take part in current product development, from concept through prototype trials
- Work with production, quality and purchase teams to validate design feasibility and improve manufacturability
- Revise designs based on shop-floor feedback and engineering change requests

Documentation & Compliance

- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation
- Ensure every design meets customer requirements, quality standards and safety guidelines

Preferred candidate profile Must-have

- B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field




- 2+ years of experience as a Design Engineer in a manufacturing or machining environment
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software
- Solid working knowledge of GD&T; and drawing standards
- Understanding of machining processes: CNC turning, VMC, milling and grinding
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

Good to have

- Experience designing jigs and fixtures
- Exposure to tolerance stack-up analysis
- Familiarity with any ERP ( Infor, SAP, ERP next or other)
