ABOUT THE COMPANY
Industrial Filters & Fabrics Pvt. Ltd. (IFF) is a manufacturing company specializing in industrial filtration solutions, filter bags, non-woven fabrics and related products. We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Head – Supply Chain Management to lead and strengthen our end-to-end supply chain operations.
ROLE PURPOSE The Head – Supply Chain Management will be responsible for managing and optimizing the complete supply chain cycle, including demand planning, production planning, procurement, inventory, stores, logistics, dispatch and supplier management.
The role will focus on ensuring right material, right quantity, right quality, right cost and right time, while maintaining optimum inventory levels and supporting uninterrupted production and timely customer deliveries.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Supply Chain Planning
- Develop and implement an integrated Supply Chain Planning process aligned with business and production requirements.
- Coordinate with Sales, Production, Purchase, Stores and Finance for demand and supply planning.
- Prepare and monitor monthly, weekly and daily material planning.
- Ensure availability of critical raw materials and consumables without excess inventory.
- Identify supply risks and develop contingency plans.
2. Procurement & Supplier Management
- Lead strategic procurement of raw materials, consumables, packaging materials and other production requirements.
- Develop and maintain a reliable supplier base.
- Evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, capacity and service performance.
- Negotiate commercial terms, prices, lead times and payment conditions.
- Develop alternate sources for critical materials to minimize supply risk.
- Drive supplier performance improvement and timely corrective actions.
3. Inventory Management
- Establish optimum inventory norms for raw materials, WIP, finished goods and consumables.
- Monitor inventory levels, ageing, slow-moving and non-moving inventory.
- Reduce excess inventory and improve inventory turnover.
- Implement appropriate FIFO / FEFO / batch control wherever applicable.
- Establish inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and physical verification.
4. Production Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with Production to ensure material availability as per production plans.
- Align procurement and inventory plans with production schedules.
- Monitor material shortages, production constraints and line stoppages.
- Improve planning accuracy and reduce production interruptions due to material shortages.
5. Stores & Warehouse Management
- Ensure systematic management of raw material, WIP, finished goods and consumables stores.
- Establish proper receiving, inspection, storage, issue and reconciliation systems.
- Improve warehouse space utilization and material identification.
- Ensure inventory records are accurate and updated in ERP/MIS.
- Implement 5S, safety and housekeeping standards across stores and warehouses.
6. Logistics & Dispatch
- Lead inbound and outbound logistics operations.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective movement of materials and finished goods.
- Optimize transportation costs through route, load and transporter planning.
- Monitor dispatch schedules and customer delivery commitments.
- Develop and monitor transporter performance and service levels.
7. Cost Optimization
- Drive continuous reduction in:
- Procurement cost
- Inventory carrying cost
- Transportation cost
- Warehousing cost
- Material handling cost
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, vendor consolidation and better commercial terms.
- Track supply-chain cost against budgets and targets.
8. MIS & Performance Management
Develop and monitor key Supply Chain KPIs such as:
- Material availability %
- Supplier OTIF %
- Purchase price variance
- Inventory turnover
- Inventory days
- Stock-out frequency
- Slow-moving / non-moving inventory
- Procurement lead time
- Purchase order closure
- Logistics cost
- On-time dispatch %
- Customer delivery adherence
- Working capital blocked in inventory
Prepare regular weekly and monthly Supply Chain MIS for management review.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COORDINATION The position will work closely with:
Sales & Marketing | Production | Purchase | Quality | Stores | Dispatch | Finance | HR | Management to ensure seamless flow of materials, information and finished goods across the organization.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- BE / B.Tech / MBA / PG in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Procurement or related field.
- 10–15 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in managing end-to-end supply chain operations.
- Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory, logistics, warehouse and production planning.
- Experience in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel.
- Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership and team-management capability.
- Should have a data-driven, process-oriented and result-focused approach.
PREFERRED INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE
Candidates from industrial manufacturing, engineering, textile/non-woven, filtration, automotive, chemical, or other process/manufacturing industries will be preferred.
