Role Description The Demand Planner is responsible for managing end-to-end demand planning activities to ensure accurate forecasting and reliable supply for Intas’ product portfolio. This full time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad involves analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and inputs from commercial and supply chain teams to develop demand forecasts. The role includes collaborating with production planning, logistics,



and procurement to align demand plans with manufacturing capabilities and inventory targets.

The Demand

Planner will monitor forecast performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions to optimize service levels and reduce stockouts or excess inventory. Regular reporting, participation in cross-functional planning meetings, and continuous process improvement are integral to the day-to-day responsibilities.

Qualifications

- Strong demand planning and demand forecasting skills, with experience using data-driven methods and planning tools.
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and support business decisions.
- Knowledge of production planning and supply chain processes, preferably within pharmaceuticals or other regulated industries.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, present insights, and build alignment on plans.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field; a master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., APICS, CPIM, CSCP) is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Excel and demand planning or ERP systems; familiarity with analytics and reporting tools is beneficial.
- Ability to work with detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience in pharmaceutical or FMCG planning roles, and understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations, is preferred.
