About the role

Data on its own does not make decisions. Someone has to explore it, test ideas against it and explain what it really says. As a Data Science Intern at Crossing Infotech, you will be that someone. You will work with real business datasets, try out different approaches and present findings that help the team act with confidence instead of guesswork.

This is a hands-on, full-time remote internship for people who enjoy curiosity-driven work, from cleaning a messy file to building a simple model and explaining its results.

What you will do

- Collect, clean and prepare datasets using Python, Pandas and NumPy
- Run exploratory analysis to find patterns, outliers and relationships in data
- Apply statistical methods such as hypothesis testing, correlation and regression
- Build simple predictive models and check how well they perform
- Create clear charts and visual summaries using Matplotlib, Seaborn or Power BI
- Write short reports that explain findings to non-technical team members
- Document your notebooks and methods so others can repeat your work
- Share progress in daily check-ins and weekly review sessions

What we are looking for
- Good working knowledge of Python, especially Pandas and NumPy




- Understanding of basic statistics (mean, variance, distributions, probability)
- Familiarity with data visualisation libraries such as Matplotlib or Seaborn
- Basic SQL is a plus
- Exposure to Scikit-learn is a plus, not a must
- A curious, analytical mindset and comfort with open-ended problems
- A stable laptop and reliable internet connection for full-time remote work

- Students or recent graduates from B.Tech, BCA, B.Sc (Statistics, Maths, CS, IT), MCA, M.Sc, MBA (Analytics) or related streams
- Self-taught learners who can show their skills through Kaggle notebooks, GitHub projects or certifications
- Anyone available to work full time for the internship duration
