About the Role

We are hiring a Data Lead / Business Consultant, Lead Analyst (Framing) to support a strategic Cognite Data Fusion (CDF) program, a global energy leader.

This role focuses on problem framing, use-case definition, and digital continuity, acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. You will play a key role in identifying high-value opportunities, structuring ambiguous problems into data-driven solutions, and ensuring that data and analytics initiatives deliver measurable business impact.

This is a high-visibility role within a large-scale industrial digital transformation program, requiring a blend of engineering domain knowledge, data understanding, and consulting mindset.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead problem framing workshops to convert ambiguous business challenges into structured, data-driven problem statements
- Identify, prioritize, and define high-value analytics, AI, and digital use cases aligned with business objectives
- Translate business requirements into transparent data, analytics, and functional specifications for technical teams
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams, ensuring alignment and clarity
- Facilitate cross-functional stakeholder discussions across engineering, manufacturing, operations, and IT
- Develop and manage a use-case and analytics roadmap, aligned to strategic priorities
- Define KPIs, success metrics, and value realization frameworks for all initiatives
- Drive digital continuity initiatives, ensuring seamless data flow across PLM, MES, ERP, and operational systems
- Identify and resolve data gaps, inconsistencies,



and integration challenges across the data lifecycle
- Support definition of data models, data standards, and system interfaces
- Ensure reuse and scalability of solutions across multiple use cases and business units
- Provide inputs to solution architecture and ensure alignment with platforms like Cognite Data Fusion (CDF)
- Collaborate with data engineers and architects to ensure feasible and scalable implementation
- Drive business adoption and change management for data and analytics solutions

Mandatory Skillsets

- Strong experience in problem framing, business analysis, or consulting roles within data/analytics programs
- Good understanding of industrial systems: PLM, MES, ERP, IoT ecosystems
- Knowledge of data ecosystems: data pipelines, databases, data lakes, and integrations
- Hands-on exposure to SQL and basic data analysis
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (business + technology)
- Strong structured problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Proven ability in stakeholder management and workshop facilitation
- Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred Skillsets

- Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, or Manufacturing domain
- Familiarity with Cognite Data Fusion (CDF) or industrial data platforms
- Exposure to analytics, AI/ML, or optimization use cases
- Understanding of digital twin and digital thread concepts
- Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Snowflake)
- Prior experience in management consulting or strategic programs
- Ability to link technical initiatives to business ROI and value realization
