About The Role The Senior Data Engineer role at Kake is designed for experienced professionals who excel in data analysis, data science, or data engineering. This position involves transforming raw data into reliable insights and scalable pipelines that support business decision-making processes. The successful candidate will take ownership of end-to-end data projects, working closely with product and engineering teams to develop data solutions that drive strategic initiatives.

The role requires a proactive approach to designing, building, and maintaining data infrastructure, ensuring data quality, and implementing best practices across projects.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess over five years of experience in data analysis, data science, or data engineering.



Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational and NoSQL databases are essential. Hands-on expertise with programming languages such as Python, R, or similar is required, along with a solid background in building and maintaining data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, or data warehouses.

Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is important for translating complex data into understandable insights. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are necessary to collaborate effectively with stakeholders. The ability to work independently in a remote, quick-paced environment is also crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and workflows that support analytics, reporting, and modeling needs across the organization.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business strategies and operational improvements.
- Build, validate, and maintain statistical and machine learning models to address specific business challenges and opportunities.
- Ensure the quality, consistency, and integrity of data across various sources and pipelines through rigorous validation and testing processes.
- Design and optimize data models, schemas,



and warehouses to support scalable and efficient analytics solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand business questions and translate them into effective data solutions and reports.
- Contribute to the development and enforcement of data best practices, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in requirement reviews, risk assessments, and early identification of potential data issues during project development.
