About the Role

We are looking for a Data Engineer with 3–4 years of experience to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data pipelines, ETL/ELT, SQL, Python, databases, and cloud-based data platforms

.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reliable data pipelines and infrastructure that enable analytics, reporting, and data-driven applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines .

- Extract, transform, and load data from multiple structured and unstructured sources.
- Develop productive and optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations .

- Build data pipelines using Python and relevant data engineering frameworks.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases to store and process large datasets.




- Develop and maintain data warehouses, data lakes, and data models .

- Perform data validation, quality checks, and automated testing to ensure data accuracy and reliability
- Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, reliability and cost.

- Integrate data from APIs, databases, files, and other external sources
- Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and business teams.
- Monitor pipeline performance and resolve data-related issues.

- Implement appropriate logging, error handling, and documentation.
- Follow best practices for data security, governance, and access control.

Required Skills

- 3–4 years of professional experience in Data Engineering.

- Strong proficiency in SQL .

- Good hands-on experience with Python .

- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data pipeline architecture .

- Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle .

- Experience with data warehousing concepts, including fact tables, dimension tables, star/snowflake schemas .

- Familiarity with data modeling and database optimization .

- Basic experience with workflow orchestration (Airflow or similar)

- Experience with Git/version control .

- Good understanding of data quality, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strongly Preferred

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP .

- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark / PySpark .

- Understanding of data lake/lakehouse architecture .

- Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Azure Synapse .

- Experience with Databricks .

- Knowledge of orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow .

- Knowledge of Kafka or other streaming technologies .

- Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to dbt or similar data transformation tools.
- Familiarity with data quality/testing frameworks (dbt tests or similar)
