Can you create questions that make students think, spot conceptual errors in learning resources, and bring fresh ideas to the curriculum?

We are looking for a Curriculum and Assessment Specialist with expertise in Mathematics and Science for Grades 5–9. Based at our Bengaluru school, you will work with the centralised India network team to develop assessments, review learning resources and enrich the curriculum.

What You Will Do

1. Create assessments that measure understanding

- Design formative and summative assessments, including unit tests, periodic assessments and question papers.
- Develop competency-based questions, case-based questions, MCQs and other assessment tools.
- Align assessments with learning outcomes, curriculum objectives and CBSE/NCERT expectations.
- Prepare and verify assessment blueprints, answer keys, marking schemes, rubrics and model responses.
- Build and maintain question banks, identifying quality issues and recommending improvements.

2. Make learning resources classroom-ready

- Review curriculum content against relevant frameworks, learning outcomes and grade-level expectations.
- Check lesson plans, PPTs, worksheets, teacher guides, activities and practice materials for factual and conceptual accuracy.
- Ensure activities and questions develop or assess the intended competencies.
- Maintain resource-review checklists and quality-assurance trackers.

3. Help the curriculum grow stronger

- Recommend curriculum improvements using assessment evidence, teacher feedback and classroom experience.
- Support curriculum pilots, revisions and enrichment initiatives.




- Update curriculum plans, maps and related documentation within agreed timelines.

4. Collaborate with the academic team

- Work with Deputy Principals, Domain Experts and other stakeholders.
- Participate in career development programmes, workshops and meetings.
- Stay updated on curriculum, assessment and competency-based education.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold Christel House’s professional standards and values.
- Undertake related curriculum and assessment responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.

What You Bring
- A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Education.
- A Master’s degree in Mathematics or Science.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in school education, with practical experience in curriculum development and assessment design.
- Strong subject knowledge relevant to Grades 5–9 Mathematics and Science.
- A sound understanding of CBSE/NCERT curriculum, competency-based education and the National Education Policy (NEP).
- Demonstrated experience in developing, reviewing or moderating formative and summative assessments.
- An understanding of learning outcomes, competencies and cognitive levels.
- Strong written communication, analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint or Google Workspace.
- The ability to collaborate effectively and meet agreed deadlines.

Added advantages: Multi-subject expertise and experience with digital assessment tools, curriculum repositories or AI-supported curriculum development.
