Role Description The Senior Executive – Labour, Factory & CLRA Compliance will manage day-to-day compliance activities related to Labour laws, factory regulations, and the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act.
Responsibilities include monitoring statutory changes, preparing and maintaining compliance registers and records, coordinating inspections, and ensuring timely filing of returns and renewals of licenses. The role involves advising clients on Labour and factory law requirements, supporting audits, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve compliance issues efficiently. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, requiring close interaction with client HR, legal, and operations teams to maintain high standards of compliance and documentation.
Key Job Responsibilities1. Labour Law Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable Central and Karnataka Labour laws.
- PF, ESIC, Professional Tax,
LWF and other applicable statutory compliances.
- Minimum Wages / Wages compliance.
- Payment of Wages, Bonus, Gratuity and Maternity Benefit compliance.
- Maintain statutory registers, records and notices.
- Prepare and monitor monthly/quarterly/annual compliance calendars.
2. Factory Compliance
- Handle factory registration, license and renewal requirements.
- Maintain statutory registers and records applicable to factories.
- Monitor working hours, overtime, weekly holidays and leave records.
- Coordinate factory inspections and statutory visits.
- Track and close observations raised by Factory/Labour authorities.
- Ensure statutory notices and displays are maintained.
3. CLRA / Contract Labour Compliance
- Manage end-to-end contract Labour compliance.
- Contractor registration/license documentation and renewals.
- Verify contractor deployment records.
- Verify attendance, wage registers and wage payments.
- Verify PF/ESI challans and ECRs of contractors.
- Monitor minimum wages and statutory perks for contract workers.
- Maintain principal employer and contractor compliance documentation.
- Conduct periodic contractor compliance audits.
Current Bengaluru roles similarly emphasize contractor documentation, wage records, PF/ESI, statutory registers, audits and Labour-authority coordination. 4.
Audit & Inspection
- Conduct internal Labour compliance audits.
- Conduct contractor/vendor compliance audits.
- Prepare compliance audit reports.
- Identify gaps and prepare corrective-action plans.
- Follow up until closure of observations.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation.
5. Government Liaison
- Coordinate with Labour Department.
- Coordinate with Factory Inspectorate.
- Liaise with EPFO and ESIC authorities.
- Support statutory inspections and notices.
- Assist in preparing replies to statutory notices.
6. MIS & Management Reporting
- Maintain state/location-wise compliance trackers.
- Prepare monthly compliance MIS.
- Track license and registration expiry dates.
- Prepare management dashboards.
- Escalate critical compliance gaps to management.
Candidate ProfileQualification
- B.Com / BBA / BBM / MSW / LLB / MBA-HR or equivalent.
- Diploma/PG Diploma in Labour Laws will be an advantage.
Experience
- 3–4 years of hands-on experience in:
- Labour Law Compliance
- Factory Compliance
- CLRA / Contract Labour Compliance
- PF & ESIC
- Statutory Audits
- Government Liaison
