About the Role
Comida is looking for a passionate Commis Chef / Demi Chef de Partie specializing in Continental cuisine to join our culinary team.
This role is based in our central kitchen facility in Vikhroli, where chefs collaborate to prepare high-quality dishes that support our restaurant operations across the city. It is a great opportunity for chefs who are eager to strengthen their skills in Continental cooking while working in a professional and well-structured kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Continental dishes according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
- Assist in daily mise en place and kitchen preparations
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and portioning across all dishes
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the work station in accordance with food safety standards
- Coordinate with senior chefs to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Support the team during high-volume production and service periods
- Monitor ingredient freshness and inform supervisors of stock requirements
Skills & Competencies
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Continental cooking techniques
- Familiarity with sauces, grilling, sautéing, and plating standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to hygiene standards
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the culinary field
Qualifications & Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in Continental cuisine preferred
- Culinary training or diploma in Hotel Management is an advantage
- Experience working in skilled or high-volume kitchens is beneficial
