- Obtain quotations from CHA, Freight Forwarders, Transporters and Shipping Agents for export/import shipments.
- Prepare comparative statements of freight, CHA, transportation, documentation, port/CFS and other logistics charges.
- Negotiate with CHA/Freight Forwarders to obtain competitive rates and commercial terms.
- Coordinate with CHA/Freight Forwarders for customs clearance, container booking, shipment and delivery.
- Coordinate with internal departments for timely availability and dispatch of export/import material.
- Monitor shipment status and maintain proper shipment-wise records and documentation.
- Verify CHA, freight forwarder and transporter bills against approved quotations and identify excess/additional charges.
- Maintain logistics cost records and assist in cost control and reduction.
- Handle and maintain export/import documents such as Invoice, Packing List, Shipping Bill, BL/AWB, COO,
E-way Bill, etc.
- Coordinate with Accounts for processing and reconciliation of logistics-related bills and advances.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of Export/Import and Logistics procedures.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and Comparative Statement preparation.
- Good negotiation, communication and follow-up skills.
- Knowledge of CHA/Freight Forwarding and shipping documentation.
- ERP/Tally knowledge preferred.
Experience & Qualification
Experience: 2–5 years in Commercial / Export-Import / Logistics
