About the RoleWe are looking for a Coding Mentor with a strong coding background, hands-on approach, and a passion for supporting learners in a collaborative, peer-learning setting.
In this role, you will work closely with local and international partners, support students throughout their learning journey, contribute to study modules and events, and help create an environment that encourages autonomy, collaboration, and peer-to-peer learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and effectively communicate the 01Edu peer-to-peer learning methodology to students and stakeholders.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to students.
- Support and communicate with students throughout their learning period.
- Monitor student progress and ensure learners are progressing as expected.
- Review and audit student work and provide individual support where required.
- Facilitate group activities and oversee students' use of the learning platform.
- Identify and report platform-related technical issues to the technology team.
- Perform database queries to support analytics and generate insights.
- Maintain accurate records of student activity and progress.
- Collaborate with corporate partners and understand their technical requirements.
- Support technology events, partnerships, and collaborative initiatives.
- Engage with employers and partners to enrich the learning program.
- Participate in local and international curriculum meetings.
- Promote a collaborative environment built around autonomy and peer learning.
- Follow organizational policies related to safeguarding, health & safety, equal opportunities, and data protection.
- Be available to support occasional evening or weekend activities based on program requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Strong coding background with a hands-on approach.
- Educational background in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with multiple programming languages; Go is an added advantage.
- Experience with peer-to-peer learning environments is a plus.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and products.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good technical understanding and decision-making ability.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with different teams and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
- Good command of English.
