Role Description The Cloud Engineer role at D2N Solutions is a full-time, remote position responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable cloud environments. On a day-to-day basis, the Cloud Engineer will build and manage cloud infrastructure, automate deployments, and optimize performance, reliability, and cost across various platforms.

The role involves collaborating with development and operations teams to support application architectures, integrating monitoring and logging solutions, and ensuring adherence to security and compliance standards.

The Cloud

Engineer will troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, manage backups and disaster recovery configurations,



and contribute to documentation and best practices. This position also includes participating in technical discussions with clients, recommending cloud solutions, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Cloud Computing skills, including experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), infrastructure-as-code tools, and cloud security practices.
- Candidates should possess Infrastructure skills encompassing networking fundamentals, virtualization, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and system monitoring and automation.
- Candidates should possess Software Development skills such as scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) to enable automation, tooling, and integration work.
- Candidates should possess Linux skills, including administration, performance tuning, shell scripting, and troubleshooting within production environments.
- Candidates should possess Databases skills with experience in relational and/or NoSQL databases, backup and recovery, and performance optimization in cloud deployments.
- Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Beneficial qualifications include familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code frameworks (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), and experience in security and compliance in regulated industries.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and the capacity to work independently in a remote, cooperative environment are essential.
